This year my parents took  my family and my sisters family to Panama.  We stayed at the Grand Avalon just outside Panama City.  We didn't spend very much time birding, we did manage to get a few morning walks in.  Along with one trip to Plantation Road, where we spent a few hours late in the afternoon.  We did a family walk at Metropolitan Nature Park, where the kids were able to see a three toed sloth, a monkey with baby, lizards, spiders, butterflies and a few birds. We visited Summit Gardens, there are as many birds outside of cages as there are inside cages.

One of most spectacular sightings we had were the Magnificent Frigatebirds going through the canal.
